Community History

Reading sits slightly outside the South West proper but forms part of the same southern restaurant geography. Nasir Ali briefly opened a takeaway there in 1976, making it the earliest documented Bangladeshi food venture in the Thames Valley, before he consolidated his presence in Salisbury.
